Ben “POWS ONE” Viamontes has been tattooing professionally since 2005, with roots in the tattoo world going back to 1995 when he started in a shop at 15 and apprenticed soon after. He earned a B.A. in Fine Arts and Art History with honors at the University of New Mexico, then completed a second apprenticeship under Jeff Hayes before launching his career full time.

In 2009, Ben opened Blacklist Tattoo Parlour in Albuquerque. His work is known for strong concept building, clean execution, and range across styles, built from years of travel and guest work in shops across the U.S. and abroad. Whether a client comes in with a clear vision or a rough idea, Ben’s focus is the same: turn it into a custom tattoo that looks right, lasts, and feels personal.
