Saturday started fine, then a client ended up at the wrong location and decided not to get tattooed. That is a miss you cannot always prevent. You can communicate perfectly and life still happens.
So I used the time the right way. I connected with colleagues and suppliers, had productive conversations, and kept the weekend useful instead of letting it turn into frustration.
At the same time, the rumor mill was running. Big snow storm moving in. People started packing up early on Saturday trying to beat it. Then the airline notifications started. Possible cancellations, possible delays.
I decided to stay and let it play out.
Question.
When everyone is rushing for the exits, do you follow the panic, or do you make the call based on your own read of the situation.
