Juan CREWKS began tattooing professionally on April 11, 2023. Based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, his work is rooted in a lifetime of making art across many mediums, with a strong foundation in typography, lettering, and design. Before tattooing, he spent over a decade producing artwork for gallery exhibitions, studying letterforms and composition, painting signage for establishments, and creating digital and hand drawn designs for posters and merch for bands and brands. Raised in both Southern New Mexico and the Midwest, he brings influences from Chicano culture and classic American Traditional when the project calls for it. Versatility, detail, and clean execution are the pillars of his approach, and every tattoo is treated as a custom collaboration to create a one of a kind piece of wearable art.
